GORILLA LIFT
Two GORILLA LIFT constructions are available. The A800 is for loads between 500 and 800 lbs. Beyond that and to 2000lbs, the A2000CS, SUPER GORILLA LIFT construction is specified. Lift heights to 120" are available with either construction, depending upon load, movement and height.
For both constructions, the mast channels are extra stiff, base plates are reinforced with box beams and legs have welded channel section reinforcements. Drive trains include 1" ball screws and ball nuts, heavy duty bearings and reinforced top channels. Carriage lengths are either 16 1/2" or 20" depending upon the load moment. Oversized cam followers track on channel flanges. When eccentric loads are encountered, a second set of cam followers is employed at 90 degrees which track on the channel webs acting as lateral stabilizers. This construction increases the Versatility of applications, not attainable with most single or narrow mast section.
The A2000CS SUPER GORILLA LIFT employs
continuous side embers tack welded over the mast length, essentially long gussets. Horizontal members tie these together at defined intervals to form a box. This construction is highly torque resistant while resulting in a low weight to load ratio.
Motor torque, gearing and speed options are available to suit operating requirements. For higher speeds under heavy loads, a high-torque, 24v motor is available. With a motor speed controller, travel time may be reduced while accelerating and decelerating as travel extremes are approached. An emergency stop mechanism is also available, similar to that employed in passenger and freight elevators. Redundant limits are also available when fragile or expensive loads are to be experienced. GORILLA LIFTS are also available for use in Class 100 Cleanrooms. A combination of these features is applied, for example, for handling heavy crystals or laser lens assemblies. |
